The Nimmo Republican Women's Club is an organization dedicated to promoting Republican ideals, electing Republican candidates, encouraging community involvement, and making new friends. Founded in 2005, it is one of four active Republican Women's Clubs in Virginia Beach and the only one that meets in the southern portion of the city.
The NRWC is a chartered club within the Virginia Federation of Republican Women, which includes 68 clubs and 3,000 members throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Members play an active role in politics at the local, state, and national levels.
By becoming a member, you'll have the opportunity to meet and interact with elected officials, learn about politics and policy from a variety of respected and informative guest speakers, network with other professional women in our area, and connect, have fun, and become involved in our wonderful city and Commonwealth.
Some of the highlights of our year include our annual trip to Richmond during the General Assembly session, participation in the Star Spangled Ball (the black-tie fundraiser of the Virginia Beach Republican Women's clubs) and a White House Christmas tour.
Monthly meetings are held on each second Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at the Black Angus Grill at the Virginia National Golf Course unless otherwise noted. Meetings include a cocktail reception, dinner, a guest speaker, and a brief business meeting. Guests are encouraged to attend. The cost is $20 ($18 for members).
